MFCC serves adopted and/or foster children and families by providing holistic therapeutic care. This includes counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, expressive art therapy, parent mentoring, and more. Lionheart Foundation provided funds to be a Premier Sponsor for their annual Red Tub Day. This is a day when the children who are served by MFCC receive a large red tub filled with toys for Christmas.
Leadership International exists primarily to help people throughout the world have access to Biblical Education. However, because of certain crises throughout the world, they have had the opportunity to help people in a holistic way. In Southern Madagascar, there is a humanitarian crisis. A 3-year famine is killing people daily. Lionheart Foundation provided funds which will provide a month’s worth of food for 5,000 people and a water well.
JoyLife901 provides abundant opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to have biblical community and opportunities to grow in the Lord. One of these opportunities is their annual Joy Prom. Though this year’s event looked different, Lionheart Foundation was able to provide funds in order for each participant to receive a shirt to remember this special night.
The Good Shepherd Foundation is based in the village of Kagavu, Uganda. This organization serves both children and the community at large. Over the years, they have served the community by providing clean water, medical help, and education. This past year, Lionheart Foundation has provided funds for the first level of their Secondary School building – Destiny High School. This is an ongoing project that Lionheart will continue to help.
Point of Impact is a ministry based out of Tegucigalpa, Honduras that helps meet the daily physical, spiritual, educational, emotional and social needs of children living in that city. Each year in Memphis, POI host a golf tournament to raise money for this effort. Lionheart Foundation provided funds to help in that tournament by sponsoring a hole and with shirts.
Riverside Missionary Baptist Church is a local Memphis Church that provides a community “Sip and See”. It’s a community wide baby shower to support different families in the Memphis area. This year, they wanted to give away 250 baskets that would include baby related items. Lionheart Foundation provided them funds for this effort.
New Zoi exists to serve, educate, and provide care for children and adults. Many of these individuals have faced severe persecution and suffering. New Zoi provides schooling for many children. Lionheart Foundation teamed with New Zoi to construct a safe home for young girls who were enslaved and working in local brick factories. With the construction of the new Bethel House, these girls can be acquired from these factories, placed in this safe home, fed and educated. Lionheart Foundation provided the funds to begin and complete the process of this home.
S.E.R.T. exists to rescue persons who are missing or held against their will. Many times these people have been taken for trafficking purposes, and the SERT team finds them and bring them back to their families. Lionheart Foundation provided funds to help them purchase a QRV (Quick Response Vehicle). This vehicle would serve as a mobile base of operations and would be outfitted with a bed, desk, restroom, and wired for communications.
The Avenue is a local Memphis church striving to help bring transformation to the Summer Ave. community. One of these projects is The Powell House. This house is on Powell road and has been purchased and restored and will be used for low-income housing for those in their congregation. This will help those in their house during a time of transition, and it will also benefit the neighborhood as those in the house will be expected to serve their neighbors. Lionheart Foundation was able to provide funds toward this effort.
Puertas Del Sur is a ministry in Buenos Aires, Argentina that provides holistic support to families in the Bajo Flores neighborhood. This comes through an early childhood center, soup kitchen, music classes, soccer teams, and micro-enterprise projects. Lionheart Foundation provided funds to help provide the 147 children 2 meals per day and also help with their teacher’s salaries.
Unite Life exists to bridge the gap between those seeking answers to spiritual questions and a local church. This ministry uses advanced technology and algorithms to reach those who are searching online for answers. Through encrypted communication, they can connect the individual with a vetted partner church. Lionheart Foundation provided them with funds to help develop an app that will monitor and encourage the spiritual knowledge of growth of an individual – and provide appropriate helps as they continue their growth.
The Lionheart Foundation values dignity. Since the beginning, we have provided local and regional Title 1 schools uniforms, club shirts, and other apparel items so that when a child shows up for class, they don't have to deal with insecurity but can focus on learning. This year, we were able to provide funds so that the local schools and their families could provide for their children appropriate apparel items.
